Limericks are funny poems that consist of five verses (lines) and use the rhyme scheme AABBA. Read the directions below before completing your assignment. 1. Click on to begin. 2. Record yourself reading the poem on page 2 using the button. If you need to hear me read it first, click on the activity example for my recording. 3. Decide whether each phrase is true or false on pages 4 and 5. 4. Finish the limerick on page 6. 5. Brainstorm your topic and rhyming words for your own limerick on page 8. Write your limerick on page 9. 6. Review your work (pages 2, 4-6, and 8-9), then turn in using the button.
