Algebra: Solve Equations with Two Variables

Grades: 6th Grade, 5th Grade, 4th Grade
Subjects: Math

Student Instructions

Today you will learn all about solving equations with two variables. Remember, variables are letters that represent unknown numbers in an equation. For each equation, one of the variables will be given. For example, if you have an equation of w + 5 = v and v =12, we would solve for w and get the answer of 7 (w = 7). Solve equations using two variables in this activity. 1. Click on add to begin your assignment. 2. Review page 1. 3. Solve the equations on pages 2-5 by "plugging in" the given variable. Double check your work! Complete IXL 5th Grade Skill U.7 for extra practice. 4. Turn in using the check tool. Extension: IXL 5th Grade Skill U.1 for an extra challenge or review!
