Help out at home to make parent’s lives easier: fill or empty dishwasher/make their beds/help prepare the dinner/ pair the socks/ walk the dog/be ready for bed/smile and be nice with siblings and family/do your best in every way, and other gestures or tasks you want to add. • Tuesday. Undertake a random act of kindness to brighten the lives of those around them in school and make somebody’s day a better one through kind gestures/words or acts: thank you note or drawing for the bus driver, office staff, school custodians, recess paras-lunch ladies-or any support staff that helps us, share smiles and good manners, greet others with your best smile, follow rules without reminders, show the best of you in specials and regular class, organize your belongings-locker and help to tidy up…and so on! • Wednesday. They are asked to communicate with an elderly person…. A relative, a neighbor or a friend. This may be something as simple as picking up the phone and calling granny, or popping in to visit an elderly neighbor or sending a card/letter to an elderly person. • Thursday. In the interest of promoting mental health and positive self-image/self-care, the children are asked to do something that they enjoy doing and that makes them feel good about themselves without including technology…This might simply be spending some time drawing/reading/listening to a read aloud/playing with a friend and other that he or she chooses to do it. • On Friday, we will be sharing our kind and happy journals and writing about the most special moments from the week.
