Decimal Tetris WATCH THE EXAMPLE VIDEO! Your Goal: To move the Tetris piece around the decimal grid so that the decimal 0.27 changes position, BUT, is always somewhere inside the Tetris piece. The challenge is to find HOW MANY different ways, (or combination of decimals), you can move the Tetris piece. You can move (translate), turn (rotate) or flip (reflect) the shape (Tetris piece). Every time you move the shape (Tetris piece), write down (record) the decimals in that shape in your template on the left. LOOKING FOR AN EXTENSION TASK? Repeat the task, BUT, replace the decimal 0.27 with your choice of decimal. What result will this have on your other decimals? Learning Intention: W.A.L.T. count up and down in tenths (0.1) and in hundredths (0.01) and develop our place value up to hundredths. Success Criteria: W.I.L.F. addition or subtraction of 0.01 when moving horizontally and addition or subtraction of 0.1 when moving vertically.
