Student Instructions

Banksy is a modern and anonymous, England-based street artist and political activist. Today we are going to look at several Chicago based graffiti artists, and the Downers Grove murals from June of 2020. Think about the symbolism of the balloon in Banksy's work, "Girl with Balloon." Is the child letting the balloon go on purpose? Did she give the balloon as a gift to the world? Is there hope that she might catch the balloon? What gives you "hope?" Last week we brainstormed ideas for a mural about hope. This week we will make a mural based on "hope" in ArtStudio. Watch the video provided. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo3rE_1N5BQ Directions: - Last week you submitted your plans for your mural.
