Hello Great Mathematicians! Today's standard will be using math drawings to partition a rectangle with square tiles and relate it to repeated addition. The word problem page states that Rick is filling his muffin pan with batter. He fills 2 columns of 4. One column of 4 is empty. You'll need to show the muffins and the empty columns by drawing or inserting a shape into a rectangle shaped pan. Also, you'll need to write a repeated addition equation to tell how many muffins Rick makes. For the problem sets, you'll have fun shading in arrays and writing a repeated addition for each shaded array. Make sure to watch the first.
